Let’s start with understanding
If you’re new to NUCCA, you probably have a few questions. That’s a good place to start.
NUCCA focuses on the top of your spine, where your head and neck meet. An assessment and detailed measurements help your chiropractor decide whether this approach is appropriate for you.
The adjustment itself uses light, carefully directed pressure. There’s no forceful twisting or cracking of your neck.

A closer look before we begin
How you stand. How you move. What you’ve been feeling. We bring those pieces together before making a recommendation.

Meet your chiropractor
Choosing someone to care for your neck is personal. You want to understand their approach, their training and what a visit will feel like.
Dr. Foran is a NUCCA board-certified chiropractor and holds a Diplomate in Craniocervical Junction Procedures. His practice centres on the relationship between the head, neck and spine, with measurements used to plan and reassess care.
What brings you here?
Some people come with a clear concern. Others have been looking for answers for a while. Either way, the first step is to understand your situation.
We’ll discuss whether NUCCA care fits your needs and when another assessment or referral may be appropriate.

Understanding the details
When indicated, precise images help assess the relationship between your head, atlas and spine. We explain the findings and discuss your options before proceeding.
Care planned for you
If NUCCA care is suitable, light pressure is applied at a carefully calculated angle. You rest on your side while the adjustment is made.
Checking, then checking again
Measurements are repeated to assess your response. Follow-up visits monitor your progress and help determine whether further adjustment is needed.
Good questions. Clear answers.
You don’t need to know all the terminology. We’re here to talk it through.
Ask our teamYou’ll usually lie on your side while the chiropractor applies light pressure near the top of your neck. The technique does not use forceful neck twisting or cracking. Let your chiropractor know if you feel uncomfortable at any point.
NUCCA uses specific views of the head and neck to help measure alignment and plan the adjustment. Imaging is considered as part of your assessment. Your chiropractor should explain why it is recommended and discuss any questions you have.
That depends on your assessment and response to care. Follow-up visits include checks to see how you’re doing. An adjustment is not automatically needed at every appointment.
A conversation and examination come first. Your health history, symptoms and findings help determine whether NUCCA care is appropriate, or whether you need a different assessment or referral. No particular result can be promised.
